Know your realistic band first
Before starting, you take an assessment that estimates your current band. Moving from 5.5 to 6.5 is a different project from moving 6.5 to 7.5, and the plan, the number of sessions and the homework load are set accordingly.
Academic or General Training
We prepare both versions. Academic is usual for university applications; General Training is usual for immigration to Canada, Australia or the UK. Task 1 writing and part of the reading differ, and your plan reflects the version you will actually sit.

IELTS for UKVI
Some UK visa applications require IELTS for UKVI, taken at a centre approved by the UK government. The content and scoring are the same as the standard test; only the test session and its administration differ. Check the UK government website to see whether your visa route needs the UKVI version, then book with the centre. Our preparation is the same for both.
Applying to Canada
Canadian economic immigration programmes such as Express Entry accept IELTS General Training, and your four section scores are converted by IRCC into CLB levels. Because the points follow your lowest section, preparation is organised around your weakest skill rather than your average — CLB 7 needs 6.0 in all four sections, CLB 9 needs Listening 8.0, Reading 7.0, Writing 7.0 and Speaking 7.0.
