What changes at this age
By 8 to 11, most children can sit through a full lesson, follow instructions and start connecting spoken English to written English. Many also arrive with school English that is grammar-heavy but rarely spoken — which is exactly the gap our classes close, through structured but still lively sessions.

Supporting, not duplicating, school
Many children in this age group already study English at school and get reasonable grades, but freeze in an actual conversation or lose confidence reading aloud. We do not repeat the school textbook; we add the speaking practice, correction and reading mileage that a classroom of 30 students cannot give each child individually.
Building confidence, not just accuracy
At this age, correcting every mistake kills the willingness to try. Teachers let a child finish an idea, then correct patiently and specifically, so confidence grows alongside accuracy rather than being sacrificed to it.
Format and what parents receive
- Small groups by age and level, live on video call, roughly 45 minutes
- A short report after each session and attendance tracking
- Simple homework, generally under 15 minutes, to reinforce the class

- My child gets good grades in English at school — is this still useful?
- Often yes. Good grades usually reflect grammar and vocabulary knowledge; our classes add the speaking, listening and reading-aloud practice that written schoolwork does not test.
- How is this different from the 4–7 age group?
- The 4–7 group is play-based and pre-reading. From 8–11, sessions are longer, more structured, and introduce real reading comprehension and guided writing, while keeping speaking central.
- Will my child get homework?
- Yes, but kept light — usually under 15 minutes — so it reinforces the class without becoming a burden on top of school work.
- How do you group children by level?
- Every child takes a free placement assessment appropriate for their age before joining, so the group matches both age and actual level, not just age alone.
- Can my child move to the teenage group later?
- Yes, children typically move into our teenage groups from around age 12, where the content and topics shift again to match that age.
