The Language Tasks of Running a Business in English

  • Discovery calls: understanding what a foreign client wants before quoting
  • Pitching your business in 60 seconds, and in five minutes with questions after
  • Negotiating price, scope and deadlines without under-selling the work
  • Proposals and quotes: scope, exclusions, payment terms, in plain English
  • Invoices, reminders and chasing late payment politely but firmly
  • Supplier and manufacturer calls, including specifications and shipping
  • Website, landing-page and product copy that does not read as translated
  • Platform communication: Upwork, LinkedIn, marketplaces, and client messaging
  • Networking and events: introducing yourself and following up afterwards

How the Training Works

  • 1. Free trial class with a CEFR assessment and your first pitch, out loud.
  • 2. You bring your offer, your market and the client conversations you lose.
  • 3. Role-plays: discovery calls and negotiations where the teacher plays the client.
  • 4. Written work each session: a proposal, a quote, a reminder or a page of copy.
  • 5. Correction on clarity and tone, the two things that decide whether a client replies.
  • 6. A written report after each session, with the phrases and templates to reuse.

Typical Starting Level

Founders and freelancers in Morocco often start between A2 and B2, with a wide gap between written and spoken English: messages and proposals get written with time and tools, while live calls are avoided — sometimes to the point of losing clients who only wanted to talk for ten minutes.

That avoidance is the first thing the training targets, because the call is where the price is agreed. Written work continues in parallel, since a clear proposal is what closes what the call opened.

Frequently asked questions

Can we work on my real proposals and website copy?
Yes. Bringing your own proposal, quote or landing page is the fastest route: we correct what you actually send to clients rather than generic samples.
Do you give business or legal advice?
No. Englify is a language academy: we work on how you say and write things in English. Pricing strategy, contracts and tax questions belong to your accountant or lawyer.
I have very little time. Is that workable?
Yes — private classes are booked around your availability, and many founders take 4 hours a month rather than a fixed weekly course. Short and consistent works better than a long course you abandon.
How much does it cost?
Private one-to-one classes cost 100 MAD per hour. Monthly plans are 500 MAD for 4 hours, 900 MAD for 8 hours, 1,200 MAD for 12 hours, 1,700 MAD for 16 hours and 2,000 MAD for 20 hours. There is no registration fee and the first trial class is free.
Can I follow the classes from any city?
Yes. Everything is 100% online on Google Meet, so professionals anywhere in Morocco — and Moroccans working abroad — take the same sessions, including early morning or evening slots.
